System Access Fee (Res. 2011-06)

$15.75 per dwelling unit, per month, plus consumption for Single family, duplexes and multi-family residential & commercial water users of North Kootenai Water District shall pay a minimum of

Debt Service Surcharge (Res. 2011-06)

$6.94 per dwelling unit or commercial unit per month.

Repayment of Revenue Bond authorized by 08/04/09 Special Election. This amount will be adjusted yearly. As the customer base increases, the amount you pay per month will be reduced. This "Debt Service Surcharge" will appear on your monthly statement until the bond is paid in full.

Basic Rate for Park Maintenance (Res. 2007-03)

$5.16 flat rate per dwelling unit per month for Residential water customers living on Valley Way and Meadow Way in the Valley Green Subdivision.

Basic Rate for Street Lights (Res. 2007-03)

$2.78 flat rate per dwelling unit per month for Residential water customers living on Valley Way and Meadow Way in the Valley Green Subdivision.

Metered Lots (Res. 2011-04)

Security Deposit: (Res. 2001-06)

  • A refundable $20.00 deposit for all new signups.

Regulations: (Res. 2001-06)

  1. Water service discontinued for any reason shall continue to be billed on a monthly basis for System Access Fee and for Debt Service Surcharge.
  2. Property owners shall be responsible for payment of bills.

Bill Payment: (Res. 2011-05)

  1. Billing Cycle Ends on the 15th of each month, bills are generally issued by the 20th of each month and are due upon receipt.
  2. Bills become delinquent if not received by the 15th of the following month.
  3. Delinquent notices are mailed on the 30th of the following month for unpaid bills (approx. 45 days from bill origination).
  4. A 24 Hour Notice is delivered to the property for bills not paid by the 15th of the next month (approx. 60 days from bill origination) and a charge of $25.00 is added to the account.
  5. If payment is not received PRIOR to the disconnect date indicated on the 24 Hour Notice, service will be discontinued and the account will be charged a $25.00 lock-off fee.
  6. Once an account is disconnected due to non-payment, service will not be restored until all past due monies are paid in full, along with fees applied for delinquent processing, PLUS:
    1. $25.00 reconnect fee if payment received prior to 2:00 p.m. of a regular business day.
    2. $100.00 reconnect fee if payment received after 2:00 p.m. of a regular business day, and, requestor must sign for authorization to restore services at this rate.
      Service will only be restored during normal business hours.

Water Meter Upsize:

  1. The upsizing to a 1" meter in a 1" service will be $100.00 based upon actual time and material estimate.
  2. Revamping in-box plumbing to 1", and adding 1" meter, will be $600.00 based upon actual time and material estimate.
