Board Meeting Minutes

A. Call to Order/Roll Call:

Meeting called to order at 1:05 p.m. by President Crimmins.

B. Consent Agenda:

1. Minutes of 06/05/08 Board Meeting.

Approve Consent Agenda.

C. Oral Communications:

D. Written Communications:

1. John Larango, 1732 E. Woodstone Dr. – Requesting relief for large water bill, not leak related, but believes due to faulty timer on sprinkler system. He lives out of state. District Attorney to draft letter to Mr. Larango requesting more information.

E. Treasury Report:

None.

10. Lancaster Road Realignment (added):

Motion to accept SI bid of $45,373.

Jack Berger – motion, Maimie Moore – second.

Approved unanimously by those present.

Motion to accept meter cost (9 meters at $750 each) to SI Construction.

Approved unanimously by those present.

District Manager expressed satisfaction with Lakes Highway over their willingness to cooperate with the District on future projects.

F. District Attorney – Mike Ormsby:

1. Wal-Mart Will Serve Letter:

Wal-Mart will likely get plan approval from Hayden. Board questioning the exact nature of District Will Serve letter regarding the engineering of improvements and issues of indemnification for Wal-Mart.

2. Gozzer Ranch – Vacant Lots:

Empty lot payments issue is still unresolved. Current billing is still in place. District Engineer to write Discovery soliciting money for new generator sets.

H. District Manger – Mike Galante:

1. Arrow Point Generator/Gozzer Generator RFQ:

District Engineer to write Discovery soliciting money for new generator sets.

Issue generator set bid for Gozzer to Western States Equipment in the amount of $49,700.

Authorize Manager to procure service agreements for sets.

3. Lakeshore Lodge Fire Protection:

Andy Holloran has requested domestic & fire flow for Lakeshore Lodge Condo’s. Steve Cordes conferred with District Manager regarding ample capacity. Discovery would pay for 8” main from Jackleg Trail to Lakeshore Lodge. Discovery conveys 1.3 cfs water right for Squaw Bay to NKWSD.
