RESOLUTION #2002-03

A RESOLUTION ESTABLISHING DISTRICT CONTRIBUTIONS FOR WATER MAIN OVERSIZING.

BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of Directors of the North Kootenai Water District, that;

WHEREAS, Subdivisions and other developments requiring water service from North Kootenai Water District sometimes need to extend the existing water system to the project or increase the size of the existing water piping to the project, and,

WHEREAS, North Kootenai Water District may require that the proposed piping be of a larger diameter to meet the needs of the water system in general, and,

NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that when North Kootenai Water District determines that for the benefit of the water system a larger diameter pipe be installed, the District will contribute, upon the completion of the project water system improvements, an amount per lineal foot equal to the difference between the required size pipe and the size of pipe needed to serve the project plus 20% of the differential cost of the pipe to cover the increased cost of the labor and of the fittings.
